CCRP NEWSLETTER: MAY 2016
Posted on May 1, 2016 by anonymous
Message from the Chair
May is here and you should have received your 2016 Primary Ballots. It is important that you vote for every position, including those that appear to be uncontested.
You can see a list of the Republican Candidates that will appear on the Clackamas County Ballots on the CCRP website. CLICK HERE for the direct link to the Candidate Page.
Please remember to sign the ballot envelope. Without a signature, your vote will not be counted.
You should also return your completed ballot as soon as possible. Candidates receive a daily list of voters who have not turned in their ballots, and you may receive phone calls asking that you do turn in ballot until it is returned.
When I receive a list of election night parties, I will forward them on to you so we can celebrate the victories with our candidates.
Good luck to all of our Republican Candidates.
2016 is The Year of Opportunity!
Ron Le Blanc
Clackamas County Republican Party
The Precinct Committee Person ballot was inserted into the same envelope as your Primary Ballot.
Please remember to include it when you return your Primary Ballot.
It is not too late to recruit additional PCPs. They can be written in on the ballot. The requirements are that they must have been a registered Republican for the past 180 days and that they live in or in the neighboring precinct where they are want to serve. They must also have a minimum of three write-in votes.
CCRP Office is Open
The CCRP office has been open three days a week since April 19th. We have registered several voters, given out candidate literature, given out over 100 candidate signs, and just been open to answer questions.
We will continue to be open until Election Day, May 17th.
Our hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays: 2:00pm to 6:00pm, and Saturdays: 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Our office will reopen in July and remain open through the November General Election.
If you want to volunteer, please contact Ron Le Blanc: Chair@ClackamasRepublicans.org.
Pocket US Constitutions
The CCRP wants to thank Laura Hennig for her generous donation of a supply of pocket US Constitutions.
This is perhaps our most popular item that we give out at public events, such as fairs, parades, luncheons, and more.
We can never have too many of these US Constitutions. Your contribution of a supply of US Constitutions would be greatly appreciated.
For more information on how you can help, contact Ron at Chair@ClackamasRepublicans.org.
The Clackamas County Republican Party is dedicated to supporting Republican Candidates for every local, county, state and federal office. We provide workshop and classroom education to provide all candidates and potential candidates “Tools for a winning campaign”.
The Clackamas County Republican Party will be hosting a morning session of Basic Campaign classes for the beginning campaigner and a good refresher for the experienced candidate.
Classes will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016. Registration begins at 8:30 am and classes are from 9:00 am to noon, at the CCRP Office.
